BISHNU, THE DHOBIDHOBI SINGER is a story set in the court of Emperor Akbar at Fatehpur Sikri. It is about Bishnu, the son of a poor washerman in Agra who is blessed with great musical talent. After hearing Bishnu sing, Tansen invites him to become his student. For a boy from a poor family, courtly life at Fatehpur Sikri comes as a great cultural shock but Bishnu is determined to become Tansen's best student. And one day his dreams come true.
